Swimming Pool Leak Detection
We provide a comprehensive leak detection service.
If water is escaping through the interior of the pool we use underwater dye detection and repair as required. This has a special fee as noted below.
If water is escaping through faulty pool equipment or piping, and I am not required to get in the water, my usual fees for maintenance will apply.
Common leaks in the pool we can help you with:
Fixtures in the pool, like inlets, lights, and the drain.
Cracks in a concrete or tile pool.
Holes in the lining of a vinyl pool.
Once a leak has been detected it is then just a matter of applying patches, filling cracks or replacing faulty parts.
The initial call out to assess the situation is free*.
To carry out underwater leak detection there will be a a fee of $260 inclusive of GST, vehicle charge, tank fill and consumables. If it takes longer than an hour, the extra time will be charged at the senior technician rate of $85 an hour incl GST. If it requires the replacement of fixtures , for example a new hydrostatic valve, the part will be charged for in addition to the fees quoted above.
* For pools North of Waitara, South of Midhirst and West of Oakura mileage will be added at $1.26 per kilometre calculated from the closest of those locations.
